TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services, products and work carried out by PitStop Tyre Centre, including tyre sales, tyre fitting, wheel alignment, puncture repairs, mobile tyre fitting and emergency roadside callouts. By purchasing products or using our services, customers agree to the terms outlined below.

1. GENERAL TERMS

 

PitStop Tyre Centre provides tyre and vehicle-related services for passenger vehicles, vans, SUVs and 4x4 vehicles. All work is carried out using professional equipment and industry-standard procedures. PitStop Tyre Centre reserves the right to refuse service where a vehicle is deemed unsafe, where repairs do not meet safety standards, where incorrect tyres or parts have been supplied, or where working conditions are considered unsafe for staff or customers.

2. TYRE FITTING SERVICES

 

Tyres supplied and fitted by PitStop Tyre Centre are fitted according to vehicle manufacturer specifications where available. Customers supplying their own tyres are responsible for ensuring the tyres are the correct size, specification and load rating for the vehicle. Customers must also ensure that locking wheel nuts are available and functional at the time of fitting.

 

PitStop Tyre Centre cannot be held responsible for issues arising from incorrect tyre sizes supplied by customers, pre-existing wheel or suspension defects, or damage caused by seized, corroded or previously damaged components.

3. TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEMS (TPMS)

 

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System components, including valves and sensors, may fail during removal due to age, corrosion, previous damage or deterioration. While every care is taken during fitting and removal procedures, PitStop Tyre Centre cannot accept responsibility for failure of pre-existing weakened TPMS components. Replacement TPMS parts may be required at additional cost.

4. PART-WORN TYRES

 

All part-worn tyres sold by PitStop Tyre Centre are professionally inspected, pressure tested and checked to ensure they meet UK legal safety requirements before sale. Minor cosmetic marks, previous repairs or signs of use may be present on part-worn tyres. Any tyre deemed structurally unsafe, excessively damaged or unsuitable for road use will not be sold.

5. WHEEL ALIGNMENT SERVICES

 

Wheel alignment services are intended to improve vehicle geometry, steering position, handling characteristics and tyre wear. Alignment results may be affected by existing suspension wear, steering defects, uneven tyre wear, accident damage or modified suspension components. PitStop Tyre Centre cannot guarantee that tyre wear issues or steering concerns will be completely resolved where additional mechanical defects are present.

 

Alignment measurements and adjustments are carried out using manufacturer specifications where available. Vehicles with worn or damaged suspension or steering components may require additional repairs before accurate alignment can be achieved. Modified or lowered vehicles may have limited adjustment available depending on suspension design.

6. MOBILE TYRE FITTING

 

Mobile tyre fitting services are subject to technician availability, weather conditions and safe working access. Customers are responsible for providing accurate location details and ensuring there is safe access to the vehicle at the agreed appointment location.

 

Arrival times provided for mobile fitting appointments are estimates only and may vary due to traffic conditions, weather, emergency callouts or delays outside of our control. Failure to attend an appointment or provide access to the vehicle may result in a callout or cancellation charge.

7. EMERGENCY ROADSIDE CALLOUTS

 

Emergency roadside tyre services are subject to technician availability and safe working conditions. Response times are estimated only and cannot be guaranteed. Delays may occur due to traffic, weather conditions, distance, road closures or emergency workload.

 

PitStop Tyre Centre reserves the right to refuse roadside work where conditions are considered unsafe for technicians or customers. Additional charges may apply for out-of-hours callouts, specialist tyres, remote locations or additional labour requirements.

8. PUNCTURE REPAIRS

 

Puncture repairs are carried out in accordance with applicable British Standard guidelines where appropriate. Not all punctures are repairable. Tyres will not be repaired where damage falls outside of approved repair areas, where structural damage is identified, where the tyre has been driven while flat, or where internal inspection reveals unsafe conditions.

 

All safety decisions regarding puncture repairs are made at the discretion of the technician and are final.

9. LOCKING WHEEL NUT REMOVAL

 

PitStop Tyre Centre provides locking wheel nut removal services where locking wheel nuts are damaged, seized, overtightened or where the original key is unavailable. While every care is taken during the removal process, customers acknowledge that specialist extraction procedures may carry a risk of cosmetic wheel marking, damage around the locking wheel nut area, or damage to wheel studs, bolts or locking wheel nuts themselves.

 

Existing corrosion, previous damage, overtightening or failed prior removal attempts may increase the risk of damage during extraction. PitStop Tyre Centre cannot guarantee completely damage-free removal in all cases. Replacement locking wheel nuts or wheel hardware may be required at additional cost.

10. PAYMENTS

 

Payment is required upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. PitStop Tyre Centre accepts various payment methods including cash, debit cards and credit cards. Failure to make payment may result in refusal to release the vehicle and recovery action for any outstanding balances.

11. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Customers are advised to re-check wheel nut tightness after approximately 50 miles of driving and to maintain correct tyre pressures at all times. Customers should regularly inspect tyres for signs of wear or damage and arrange wheel alignment checks periodically, particularly following pothole impacts or suspension repairs.

 

PitStop Tyre Centre is not responsible for damage caused by continued driving on damaged, underinflated or unsafe tyres.

12. LIABILITY

 

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes liability where prohibited by UK law. PitStop Tyre Centre shall not be liable for indirect losses, loss of earnings, recovery costs, vehicle downtime or consequential damage resulting from pre-existing vehicle defects or failures unrelated to work carried out by PitStop Tyre Centre.

 

All services are provided subject to the condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection.

13. PRIVACY

 

Customer information may be collected and stored for the purposes of bookings, invoicing, warranty claims and customer communication. PitStop Tyre Centre does not sell customer information to third parties. Further information regarding data handling is available within our Privacy Policy.
