RETURNS & REFUNDS

This Refund & Returns Policy applies to all products and services supplied by PitStop Tyre Centre, including but not limited to new tyres, part-worn tyres, wheel alignment services, wheel balancing, puncture repairs, locking wheel nut removal, mobile tyre fitting and emergency roadside assistance services.

This policy is provided in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and does not affect any statutory rights available to consumers under applicable UK law.

1. GENERAL POLICY

PitStop Tyre Centre supplies and fits tyres and provides vehicle-related services on the basis that all products are inspected and all work is completed using professional equipment and industry-standard procedures. Due to the nature of tyre use and the external conditions tyres are exposed to following fitting, products which have been fitted and used are generally considered used goods and are therefore non-returnable and non-refundable unless a verified fault is identified following inspection.

PitStop Tyre Centre reserves the right to inspect any tyre, wheel or vehicle before approving any refund, replacement, repair or warranty claim.

2. NEW TYRES

New tyres supplied by PitStop Tyre Centre may be eligible for replacement, repair or manufacturer warranty consideration where a verified manufacturing defect is identified.

Once a tyre has been fitted to a vehicle and the customer has driven away from the premises, the tyre shall be considered used. Used tyres are non-returnable and non-refundable unless a verified fault is identified following inspection by PitStop Tyre Centre or the manufacturer.

Tyres are exposed to road hazards immediately upon use. Damage caused by potholes, road debris, kerbing, vandalism, impact damage, underinflation, overinflation, suspension defects, wheel defects, mechanical faults or continued driving while damaged shall not constitute a manufacturing fault and shall not qualify for refund or replacement.

PitStop Tyre Centre cannot guarantee against punctures, accidental damage or road hazard damage occurring after the vehicle has left the premises.

Where a verified fault is confirmed, PitStop Tyre Centre reserves the right to offer replacement, repair or manufacturer warranty assessment rather than a monetary refund.

3. TYRE PRESSURE LOSS & CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

If a customer experiences air pressure loss, puncture, vibration or any tyre-related concern after fitting, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the tyre remains properly inflated and is returned safely to PitStop Tyre Centre for inspection as soon as reasonably possible.

Customers must not continue driving on tyres once low pressure or deflation is identified. Continued use of an underinflated or flat tyre may cause internal structural damage which may not be externally visible.

In order to properly inspect and pressure test a tyre, inflation above normal operating pressure may be required. Once a tyre has been driven while flat or significantly underinflated, this process may become unsafe due to potential internal structural deterioration.

PitStop Tyre Centre reserves the right to refuse inspection, repair, warranty consideration or refitting where a tyre has been driven while flat and internal damage is identified or suspected.

PitStop Tyre Centre is not responsible for providing free roadside assistance, recovery, mobile callouts, towing services, replacement vehicles or transportation costs relating to tyre issues reported after fitting.

Tyre deflation may occur for a variety of reasons outside the control of PitStop Tyre Centre, including punctures, road debris, potholes, valve failure, vandalism, impact damage or mechanical defects. It remains the customer’s responsibility to safely return the vehicle or tyre for inspection.

Customers are responsible for maintaining correct tyre pressures at all times following fitting.

4. PART-WORN TYRES

All part-worn tyres supplied by PitStop Tyre Centre are professionally inspected, pressure tested and checked to ensure compliance with UK legal safety requirements prior to sale.

Due to the previously used nature of part-worn tyres, cosmetic marks, signs of use and previous professionally repaired areas may be present.

Once fitted and used, part-worn tyres are non-returnable and non-refundable unless a verified fault directly relating to the tyre itself is identified immediately following fitting and prior to further use causing additional damage.

PitStop Tyre Centre cannot accept responsibility for damage occurring after the vehicle has left the premises, including damage caused by potholes, road debris, kerbing, underinflation, suspension defects, impact damage, vandalism or external influences.

Natural rubber deterioration may occur over time depending on tyre age, environmental conditions, storage conditions and vehicle usage.

5. RUN-FLAT TYRES

Run-flat tyres which have been driven with low or zero air pressure may suffer internal structural damage that is not externally visible.

For safety reasons, run-flat tyres which have been operated while deflated may be deemed unsafe and non-repairable following inspection.

PitStop Tyre Centre reserves the right to refuse repair, refitting or warranty consideration where internal structural damage is identified or suspected.

6. TYRE SIZE & CUSTOMER-SUPLIED INFORMATION

Customers are responsible for confirming tyre sizes, load ratings and specifications where tyres are ordered using customer-provided information.

PitStop Tyre Centre cannot accept responsibility for incorrect tyre sizes, specifications or fitments approved or requested by the customer unless the error was directly caused by PitStop Tyre Centre.

Tyres specially ordered, uncommon tyre sizes or tyres ordered specifically at customer request may become non-returnable once ordered from suppliers.

Cancellation or restocking charges may apply.

7. TPMS, VALVES & RELATED COMPONENTS

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System components, valves and related hardware may fail during removal or fitting due to age, corrosion, deterioration or pre-existing damage.

Standard rubber valves may also fail due to age-related cracking, splitting or deterioration.

While every care is taken during fitting procedures, PitStop Tyre Centre cannot accept responsibility for failure of weakened or deteriorated components during normal tyre fitting operations.

Replacement valves, TPMS sensors, service kits or associated components may incur additional charges.

8. WHEEL ALIGNMENT SERVICES

Wheel alignment services are non-refundable once completed unless a fault directly relating to workmanship is identified.

Wheel alignment is intended to improve steering geometry, tyre wear and vehicle handling characteristics but cannot repair worn suspension components, steering defects, bent wheels, tyre defects or pre-existing mechanical faults.

Alignment measurements are carried out using manufacturer specifications where available.

Vehicles with worn, damaged or modified suspension or steering components may have limited adjustment available and may require additional repairs before accurate alignment can be achieved.

PitStop Tyre Centre cannot guarantee complete elimination of steering pull, vibration or uneven tyre wear where additional vehicle defects exist.

Future pothole impacts, kerbing, suspension wear or road conditions may alter alignment settings after service completion.

9. WHEEL BALANCING

Wheel balancing services are intended to reduce vibration caused by wheel and tyre imbalance.

Some vibration concerns may be caused by wheel damage, tyre defects, suspension wear, drivetrain faults or other mechanical issues outside the scope of wheel balancing services.

PitStop Tyre Centre cannot guarantee complete elimination of vibration where additional faults are present.

10. PUNCTURE REPAIRS & UNSAFE TYRES

Puncture repair charges are non-refundable once repair work has commenced and the tyre has undergone inspection procedures.

Not all punctures are repairable. Although external inspection may initially suggest that a puncture falls within a repairable area, further internal inspection after tyre removal may reveal additional damage including run-flat damage, internal sidewall deterioration, exposed cords, structural separation or other safety-related defects.

Where internal inspection reveals that a tyre is unsafe, PitStop Tyre Centre reserves the right to refuse repair and refuse refitting of the tyre to the vehicle, even at the customer’s request.

PitStop Tyre Centre cannot legally or safely refit tyres deemed unsafe for continued road use.

Where a customer declines replacement of an unsafe tyre, PitStop Tyre Centre reserves the right to refuse release of the vehicle until suitable safe tyres are fitted or alternative recovery arrangements are made by the customer.

All technician decisions regarding tyre repairability, structural safety and safe refitting are final.

11. MOBILE FITTING & EMERGENCY CALLOUTS

Mobile fitting and emergency roadside charges cover technician travel time, fuel, equipment use and service attendance.

Once a technician has been dispatched, callout charges become non-refundable, including where the customer is unavailable, access to the vehicle cannot be obtained, locking wheel nuts are missing or the customer no longer requires the service upon arrival.

Estimated arrival times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to traffic conditions, weather, road closures, workload or emergency circumstances.

Emergency roadside services remain subject to technician availability and safe working conditions.

12. LOCKING WHEEL NUT REMOVAL

Locking wheel nut removal services are non-refundable once removal work has commenced.

While every reasonable care is taken during extraction procedures, PitStop Tyre Centre cannot guarantee damage-free removal in all circumstances due to corrosion, overtightening, previous damage or failed prior removal attempts.

Customers acknowledge and accept the risk of cosmetic wheel marking, wheel damage or damage to locking wheel nuts, studs or bolts associated with specialist removal procedures.

PitStop Tyre Centre is not responsible for failed, damaged or incorrect locking wheel nut keys supplied by the customer.

Replacement locking wheel nuts or wheel hardware may be required at additional cost.

13. STORAGE & UNCOLLECTED VEHICLES

Vehicles left on site following completion of work may incur storage charges where collection is unreasonably delayed.

PitStop Tyre Centre reserves the right to treat vehicles as abandoned where collection arrangements have not been made within a reasonable period.

14. WHEEL NUT TORQUE & AFTERCARE

Customers are advised to re-check wheel nut torque after approximately 50 miles of driving following wheel removal or tyre fitting services.

Customers are responsible for regularly inspecting tyre condition and maintaining correct tyre pressures after leaving the premises.

15. REFUND PROCESS

Where a refund, repair, replacement or warranty claim is requested, PitStop Tyre Centre reserves the right to inspect the tyre, review fitting records and carry out testing procedures before any decision is made.

Approved refunds will normally be processed using the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on payment provider and banking systems.

Manufacturer warranty claims may require independent inspection prior to approval.
